Excellence in School Diabetes Care For New Nurses: Part 1

0 Going

Join from the comfort of home through Zoom on Monday, September 28th.

This two-part diabetes education program is designed to equip new nurses, as well as newly certified school nurses with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to support their students with diabetes. The program is intended to support school nurses who play a critical role in maintaining student safety and well-being, by assisting students to manage their diabetes effectively within the school environment.

The curriculum provides a comprehensive overview of diabetes management, including the use of diabetes technology, approaches to pattern management, and key psychosocial considerations that impact students’ daily experiences and self-care.

The content is informed in part by the “Diabetes Essentials for Nurses” program and is further strengthened by integration of the American Diabetes Association’s 2026 recommendations for children and adolescents with diabetes, ensuring alignment with current standards of care.

Please note that continuing education units (CEUs) are not currently offered for this program.

Once registered, please check your spam folder for an email from the Diabetes Foundation, as your school administration email settings may send us to spam or junk. Thank you!

Please RSVP or contact DF today at (201)444-0337 for more information or to register by phone.
