Our Visions of Hope Gala recognizes a corporate champion, healthcare champion, healthcare professional, community partner, and volunteer for their significant service, philanthropy and/or volunteer efforts in support of children and adults at risk and living with diabetes. Our upcoming event will take place on April 10th, 2024 at The Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey. The DF will be honoring embecta for their outstanding contributions providing expertise, innovation, and education to individuals living with diabetes – allowing them to live life unlimited. Additionally, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, will be recognized as our Healthcare Honoree for their dedication to supporting those living in underserved communities at risk and with diabetes. Jack Daniels Motors has been named Corporate Honoree for their unwavering support to DF’s mission for across many decades. RWJUH Community Health Promotions Program will be acknowledged as our Community Health Partner for recognizing the power of collaboration to lift lives. Last but not least, Jack Bickel, a local Bergen County resident and DF volunteer has been chosen as our 2023 Sam C. Fusco Service Award Winner for providing many years of direct service to our participants.

Our annual Golf Outing, which also includes a pickleball component, offers golf and pickleball enthusiasts as well as local philanthropists the chance to enjoy a day of sports and comradery while supporting the health of the public. 2024 will mark DF’s 34th event being planned for September or October at a premier club in Bergen County, New Jersey. Breakfast, cocktails and a silent auction round out this fun opportunity which impacts many people’s lives.
