The Diabetes Basics for School Staff session is dedicated to providing nurses with a toolkit to train the adminstrators and educators within the school to care for the T1D students in their charge.
In this session you will learn:
- Risk factors and symptoms of T1D
- Tools to handle complications (such as hypoglycemia)
- Tips to recommend screening and treatment options to caregivers
