Samuel C. Fusco Service Award

Eligible award recipients will:

• have contributed greatly to DF’s mission as an advocate and/or volunteer
• show passion for public health work through reliable support and demonstrable results
• enhance DF’s ability to provide access to care for those in need via the creation of a project, process, or program
• and/or dedicate a significant and meaningful amount of their time to this important endeavor

Established in honor of Samuel C. Fusco, DF’s Chairman Emeritus and a founding member of our agency, Sam has played an integral role in supporting all aspects of DF’s work. From establishing the agency’s 501c3 status, to being a bold and tireless advocate, Sam’s vision to ensure access to high-quality, compassionate care for all individuals with diabetes goes unmatched. Sam is a self-made business man, owning a successful recruiting business with several offices across the tristate area, with strong New Jersey roots and a personal connection to diabetes. Now as Chairman Emeritus, Sam’s expertise and guidance to the staff has allowed us to build deeper and wider roots across New Jersey.
