The Diabetes Foundation’s Volunteer Champions Program trains people across New Jersey to raise diabetes awareness, reach individuals at risk or living with diabetes, and connect communities to care. Through a statewide network of dedicated volunteers, we extend access to education, resources, and solutions that help make a difference.

Future Health Professional Champions
Are you studying pharmacy, nursing, dietetics, nutrition, or another health profession? Put your knowledge into action by sharing approved diabetes education in community settings and connecting New Jersey residents to Diabetes Foundation resources and services.
Public Health Student Champions
Make an impact on campus and beyond. Public Health Student Champions lead diabetes risk-awareness outreach, engaging fellow students and surrounding communities during key awareness months in November and March.
Community & Corporate Champions
Help make diabetes awareness part of everyday community life. Businesses, civic groups, libraries, municipalities, organizations, and individuals can use simple Diabetes Foundation toolkits to share the Know Your Risk campaign and connect more people with valuable resources.
