Marlene Korngold is a Diabetes Care Guide and has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for over 30 years. Marlene’s diabetes journey started with gestational diabetes and she hoped it would go away. However, it did not and Marlene has maintained a positive and empowering attitude while coping and learning to manage this condition. Marlene has been working for the Diabetes Foundation for over 10 years as an advocate and a mentor by helping others to be able to better deal with their Diabetes.

Chris Bryant is a diabetes and kidney advocate who is passionate about raising awareness and improving outcomes for people living with these conditions. He has been living with type 1 diabetes for over 35 years and have seen firsthand the impact of diabetic nephropathy, also known as diabetic kidney disease. My goal is to empower people with diabetes and CKD to take advantage of their health and live well.

Ken’s brother Steven lost his battle with diabetes and the other conditions that evolved, so he has dedicated his life and his career to help others deal with the challenges and hurdles presented daily by this horrific disease. It is that commitment that motivated Ken to join the Diabetes Foundation as a Diabetes Care Guide to help those suffering live a healthier life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Danielle is currently the lead diabetes educator at the Diabetes Foundation and provides personalized and curriculum-based Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support education to people living with diabetes. Danielle teaches group classes as well as one to one sessions on diabetes management, nutrition education and other areas of diabetes and prediabetes care. Danielle’s passion is educating people to help them achieve their goal(s) and improve their quality of life while living with chronic disease.

Tania currently is the educator of our Spanish Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support Program at the Diabetes Foundation. Tania is a passionate professional with strong desire to improve outcomes for people with diabetes through education and technology.
